Rich supports CSGF’s portfolio to ensure that finance, facilities, and governance are enablers of their growth and success. Before joining CSGF, Rich was the CFO of Rocketship Education and the cofounder and board chair of Launchpad Development Company, Rocketship’s real estate development subsidiary. In this role, he was responsible for all nonacademic functions as Rocketship grew from one to seven schools and began its national expansion.
Prior to his role at Rocketship, Rich was the director of finance and strategic planning at Envision Schools, where he founded and managed their finance and accounting team, spearheaded strategic planning, and led expansion efforts. Rich began his career as an economic consultant to Fortune 500 energy companies and spent two years as a high school math teacher and soccer coach. He earned an MBA from Northwestern University and a BA in mathematical economics from Haverford College, and he is a graduate of the Broad Residency Program and the Education Pioneers Fellowship.
