At CSGF, we are committed to reimagining how schools can embrace a human-centered approach that fosters intellectual, moral, and emotional well-being.
Through our character and culture strategy, we support school communities in rethinking how they serve students—centering innovation on what it means for young people to truly thrive.
We draw on research-based practices and trusted partnerships to help schools cultivate environments that nurture the whole child—intellectually, morally, emotionally, and developmentally.
When schools commit to this kind of human-centered design, they don’t just raise academic outcomes—they prepare future leaders with the purpose, resilience, and belonging needed to shape a better world.
We are helping build and sustain strong cultures—rooted in human flourishing—that integrate academic rigor and whole-person development.
We invest in leaders to conduct applied R&D to create tools and frameworks that enhance the character strategy across our portfolio and can advance the field. In the newly released book, Spark Brilliance for Educators: Ignite, Engage, and Transform Your Classroom, Monica White of Elevate Academy and Jackie Insinger offer tools and a framework to create a sense of belonging and address the biggest barriers to creating a flourishing school culture.
We invest in charter network leaders to codify their character and culture practice work and foster collaboration by sharing scalable practices with other leaders. Gestalt Community School in Memphis, TN is focused on the sustainability of a character-driven leadership model for its staff, as seen here in the emmy-nominated short-film, Known, Loved, and Educated.
Almost half of the portfolio is engaged in our character and culture strategy. These 14 schools have integrated human-flourishing as a foundational principle of their educational framework.
