The Academics community supports senior academic leaders responsible for overseeing the academic program and experience for students and the enabling systems and strategy that support adults to help all students achieve strong outcomes. Leaders are often Chief Academic Officers or Chief School Officers. The Academics community also engages with senior leaders who oversee Literacy & Math instruction, as well as Principal Managers, in peer communities of practice.

The Character & Culture community supports senior leaders responsible for creating school environments that promote human flourishing—for both students and adults. This community recognizes that sustainable excellence requires intentional culture-building and character development. Leaders explore frameworks for building positive school culture, developing student character, and fostering adult communities that support wellbeing and professional growth.

The Community Impact community is for senior leaders focused on expanding organizational impact in ways that are inclusive of all students, staff, and families.

The Data community supports senior data leaders who are setting the vision and strategy for how their organizations collect, analyze, and use data to drive decision-making. Members are typically Chief Data Officers or Directors of Data and Assessment. This community provides guidance on building data systems, developing data literacy across organizations, and creating cultures of continuous improvement through evidence-based decision-making.

The Enrollment & Marketing community supports leaders who set student recruitment and enrollment strategy for their networks. This includes directors of enrollment, marketing leaders, and those responsible for family engagement and community outreach. Leaders leverage benchmarking data, best practices in student recruitment, and innovative marketing strategies to ensure schools are fully enrolled with diverse student populations, addressing the full enrollment lifecycle from awareness to retention.

The Finance & Facilities community supports the most senior finance leaders who are responsible for financial sustainability, budgeting, facilities management, and long-term financial planning for their networks. This community provides financial benchmarking data, effective practices in financial governance, and frameworks for navigating fiscal challenges including enrollment shifts, funding changes, and facilities decisions.

The Fundraising community is a virtual community supporting CEOs and senior development leaders who raise philanthropic support for their charter networks, including engaging individual donors, foundation funders, and board members in fundraising efforts. Leaders explore practical tools for donor cultivation, board engagement in fundraising, grant writing, and setting development strategy.

The Governance community serves CEO’s, Board Chairs, and senior leaders who are responsible for building and sustaining the governance structures that lead to organizational sustainability. This community addresses the full arc of charter school board effectiveness, from foundational board composition and recruitment through board-CEO relationships, strategic oversight, and succession planning. Networks will have access to governance frameworks, tools, and peer-tested resources and approaches to building boards that help schools and networks do their best work.

The Operations community supports senior network operations leaders who set strategy and oversee multiple operational functions including facilities, transportation, food services, technology, and general operations. Leaders explore frameworks for operational excellence, school opening processes, and strategic decision-making in managing complex operational systems.

The Policy, Communications, & Advocacy community supports senior communications and advocacy leaders including Directors of Communications, Policy and Advocacy Directors, and Government Relations leaders. Leaders explore strategic frameworks for effective communications, crisis management, and advocacy efforts.

The Postsecondary Access & Alumni Success community serves senior postsecondary leaders responsible for ensuring students successfully navigate to and through college and into meaningful careers. Leaders explore high school and alumni outcomes data through dynamic benchmarking tools, effective practices in college counseling and support, and frameworks for career-connected learning.

The Strategy community supports senior leaders responsible for strategic planning, organizational alignment, and board management, including Chiefs of Staff and Chief Strategy Officers. Leaders explore promising practices for strategic planning, goal-setting, cross-functional alignment, and board engagement.

The Talent community serves senior talent leaders—Chief Talent Officers, Chief People Officers, and Directors of Human Resources—who are responsible for recruiting, developing, and retaining excellent educators and staff across their networks. This community addresses the full talent lifecycle from recruitment through retention, with particular emphasis on teacher sustainability, leadership pipelines, and organizational staffing models. Members gain access to benchmarking data, staffing frameworks, and innovative approaches to building and maintaining high-performing teams.
