Edgar’s main goal is to ensure that CSGF is attracting and hiring top talent to help support our portfolio members. As a charter school alum and first-generation college graduate, he understands and values the impact that public charter schools have in communities of color. Prior to joining CSGF, Edgar was the manager of recruitment and staffing at City Colleges of Chicago overseeing talent acquisition for the district. He also worked as the diversity recruiter for the Noble Network of Charter Schools where his focus was to recruit and hire more teachers who reflected the backgrounds of the students and families they served. Edgar has over 10 years of experience in talent recruitment in both the public and private sector. He holds a Bachelor’s in political science and Latino studies as well as a Master’s in urban planning and policy from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
