Joe leads CSGF investments in charter school networks in the Mid-Atlantic and Midwest regions. Prior to joining CSGF, Joe was the chief operating officer for Mastery Charter Schools, a 24-school network serving 14,000 students in Philadelphia and Camden. Before Mastery, Joe held senior leadership positions within the School District of Philadelphia. He spent his early career in management consulting with Deloitte Consulting and American Management Systems helping private and public sector organizations improve their operational performance. Joe holds an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business and undergraduate degrees from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and Engineering School, respectively. Joe is a Pahara-Aspen fellow and Broad Residency alumnus and serves on several non-profit boards in the Philadelphia-area.
