Daniela leverages her experience in state and federal government to lead the policy, communications, and advocacy work at CSGF. Prior to joining CSGF, Daniela Garcia was the director of partnerships and policy at Pearson, where she worked with policymakers, regulators, and advocacy organizations to promote public school options for students. She previously served as the deputy assistant secretary for the Office of Communications and Outreach at the U.S. Department of Education, where she worked with education stakeholders and government entities on K-12 education initiatives. She served as a state legislator in the Michigan House of Representatives, representing the residents of Ottawa County. Early in her career she was an aide on Capitol Hill at the U.S. House Committee on Education and the Workforce. Daniela is a graduate of the University of Michigan and holds a master’s degree from The Catholic University of America.
